So let’s rewind. It all began back in the early eighties when Paul had hair and his new eye-catching exhibition stands took the circuit by storm. Whilst enjoying the fruits that exhibitions brought, the vending industry meanwhile, was looking at ways to up their game. Conversations took place with vending operators of the time, many of whom have become life long friends, which identified a growing need for vending surrounds. Paul’s expertise in steelwork and manufacturing naturally led to producing some of the first vending surrounds in the UK.
The company grew further, and it became evident that outsourcing design and manufacturing couldn’t be sustained. Paul wanted to stay true to what drove him in the early days – quality, bespoke furniture with great customer service. So when the opportunity arose to buy a factory, it was a no-brainer.

Working across the exhibition and vending sectors proved advantageous. Paul knew the best-suited materials and manufacturing processes for delivering high-quality projects. Add the lessons learned from the Design and Installation of interiors, and the company started to produce cutting edge award-winning exhibition displays and the Operandi vending surround, which is still the go-to vending surround system now.
Today Tom, Paul’s son, manages an in-house team of Project Coordinators, Designers, Joiners, Installers and Logistics. Tom’s background in Sustainable Construction in addition to his Bench Joinery credentials has enabled Nebrak to cultivate a forward-thinking fresh approach to fulfilling client brief.
Nebrak continues to work with the top UK vending operators, catering facilities management organisations and food and beverage businesses delivering the best in Vending and commercial Catering Interiors. Their expertise in exhibitions has taken them to Asia with global leisure brand Madame Tussauds and Europe where they’ve delivered immersive stands at leading trade exhibitions. They still thrive on building bespoke vending solutions and relish the opportunities technological advances in unattended retail from catering equipment and technology partners now bring to the sector. Vending is definitely here to stay and holds an exciting future, not least with the development of micro markets and premium vending solutions.
The growth of unattended retail experiences in the workplace has enabled Nebrak to showcase their talents in the manufacture of Micromarkets. Having been there from the birth of the micro-market concept, means we know the process from start to finish. We’ve adapted, and continue to identify changing needs and demands, whilst developing and improving manufacturing and installation methods. Working closely with clients’ and always looking at how to innovate has facilitated and produced some exciting new retail and vending concepts.
