When Kerry Foods approached Nebrak, they needed a complete canteen makeover that would refresh the employee experience.
The project also included integrating vending equipment from Abercromby Vending, ensuring convenience and choice for staff across all shifts.
the challenge
Kerry Foods wanted more than a standard refresh; they wanted a canteen that worked smarter. The new design needed to offer distinct zones, from semi-private meeting spaces to open dining areas. There also had to be charging points, a lockable kitchen zone with specific security locks, and comfortable canteen seating for all users. Additionally, refrigeration and vending units had to be positioned strategically to avoid taking up valuable kitchen space. The space needed to feel welcoming, flexible, and designed for the way modern teams work and relax.
The Solution
Nebrak delivered a full canteen fit-out, combining thoughtful zoning, premium finishes, and practical design. Every detail was chosen to create a space that supports collaboration, downtime, and everyday comfort.
The new layout included:
- Semi-private seating pods for focused breaks or small meetings
- Dedicated dining zones with durable, easy-to-clean furniture
- Integrated charging points for personal devices
- Lockable kitchen access for staff-only areas
- Space-efficient chillers positioned away from food prep zones
Nebrak also coordinated with Abercromby Vending to integrate vending stations seamlessly into the design.
This partnership ensured a balanced flow between grab-and-go options and sit-down dining, catering to every type of break.

The fit-out combined craftsmanship with robust, commercial-grade finishes designed for longevity.

- HCF Contract Furniture: Lagoon Side Chair, Ravo Bar Stool, Black Ironflat Pedestal Dining Table Bases
Surfaces and Finishes:
- Worktops: Staron SM465 Sanded Meadow 12mm Solid Surface
- Cabinetry and Panels: Egger H1334 ST9 Light Sorano Oak MFC
- Accents: Egger U636 ST9 Fjord Green and Egger U899 ST9 Soft Black
This combination of materials introduced warmth, texture, and resilience, perfect for a high-traffic canteen environment. Nebrak’s in-house manufacturing ensured precision, while LED lighting and ergonomic spacing enhanced comfort and visibility. The result was a modern, uplifting environment that encourages employees to connect and recharge.
