Kepak Foods x Rustlers portfolio project

Kepak used Nebrak’s bespoke food-to-go furniture to launch Rustlers into new markets and drive brand growth.

Kepak Pontins

Project Overview

As consumer demand for convenient, high-quality food-to-go continues to grow, brands need more than great products to succeed. They need environments that make those products easy to discover, simple to use and consistent wherever customers encounter them.

Working with Kepak, Nebrak developed a portfolio of bespoke branded furniture to support the rollout of the Rustlers brand convenience retail, forecourts, micro markets and automated retail environments. Rather than designing a single unit, the project focused on creating a flexible family of solutions that could adapt to different locations while maintaining a consistent customer experience and strong brand identity.

The Brief

Rustlers had already established itself as one of the UK’s leading food-to-go brands. The launch of Cook in Box presented an opportunity to reach even more consumers through convenience stores, forecourts, unattended retail and workplace environments.

The challenge wasn’t simply finding space for heating equipment. Every environment needed to balance customer experience, operational practicality and brand consistency within increasingly compact retail footprints.

Kepak required a partner capable of designing furniture that could integrate heating technology, optional refrigeration and retail merchandising, while remaining easy to install, straightforward to maintain and suitable for national rollout.

The Solution

Rather than developing a one-size-fits-all product, Nebrak created a modular portfolio of branded food-to-go furniture that could be configured around the needs of each location.

Countertop food-to-go units provided compact solutions for smaller convenience stores, while larger multi-station environments combined heating equipment, chilled storage and merchandising into complete customer destinations. Purpose-built housings were also developed for equipment including Pico Coolers and Coffetek beverage systems, allowing food and drink offers to work together naturally.

Throughout every design, the emphasis remained the same: helping customers navigate the experience intuitively while giving retailers flexible solutions that worked within the available space.

Kepak Rustlers Technicals

Behind the Build

Every unit was manufactured specifically for the equipment it would house, ensuring technology, branding and cabinetry worked together as one complete solution rather than separate elements.

By designing each furniture solution around the equipment it housed, ventilation, cable management and servicing access were integrated from the outset. This created cleaner retail environments, simplified installation and made ongoing maintenance easier, while delivering consistency across every rollout.

Project Outcome

The project created a scalable furniture platform capable of supporting Rustlers across a wide variety of retail environments, from independent convenience stores to national forecourt operators and unattended retail locations.

Alongside strengthening the visibility of the Cook in Box concept, the furniture helped create complete food-to-go destinations where heating equipment, chilled products and complementary refreshments worked together as one integrated customer experience.
